Offical First Entry
Here’s my first official entry to my new blog that I have been desperately trying to start for several months now. I used to post religiously in Livejournal but that died down when Myspace and Facebook became more direct ways to keep in touch with friends. Then Twitter came along and automatically made me think in 140 characters or less. It was a great way to stay connected with friends and network with people in my industry, but my writing suffered a great deal. Outside of the work emails and writing content for websites, my grammar has been limited to improper English, internet abbreviations, and smileys. I’ve struggled a little bit while writing this first paragraph; that’s how bad I am now. (I’m not even sure that semicolon was even used properly!)
My plan is to develop this blog into something much more content rich. I’m not talking about writing about specific topics just to get traffic from search, but to write a blog that people will visit often because they like to read what I’ve written about. Also, it’s about time I teach myself how to develop WordPress pages so I’m not stuck using templates such as this one.
I just noticed the “Word count” at the bottom of this text box and that it’s close to 200 words so far. Pathetic. I could’ve sworn I was closer to 1000 words already.
Well, in the next coming days, I am going to teach myself how to skin my own theme in WordPress. If you happen to stumble upon this entry, please leave a comment because I would be shocked if this was indexed or backlinked without any effort on my end.
So this ends my first official entry.
Hello World!
